All children deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Children and youth with disabilities have great potential, and can make significant and meaningful contributions to their communities and society as a whole, when given the opportunity.
Each year, ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development (ErinoakKids) serves more than 15,500 children and youth in the Regions of Peel and Halton, and in Dufferin County. We provide a comprehensive range of therapy, medical and support services for children and youth with physical and developmental disabilities, communication disorders, autism and children who are blind or deaf. ErinoakKids also supports their families in meeting the challenges of everyday life with a child who has special needs.
The Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services (MCYS) entrusts ErinoakKids with a leadership role in delivering high-impact services to one of the largest catchment areas in the province. Demand for our services continues to grow along with the communities in which we serve. In 2011, the Ontario Government approved ErinoakKids’ Redevelopment Project - the largest undertaking in the history of MCYS. The Redevelopment Project, scheduled for completion late in 2016, will enable us to consolidate our current patchwork of leased and retrofitted space into three new purpose-built, accessible facilities, more than doubling our treatment space.
Contributions to our $20-million In My Dreams Capital Campaign will provide the resources necessary to fully equip our three new facilities located in Brampton, Mississauga and Oakville, and provide funding to specialized programs that are critical to our children and youth.
Your generosity supports children and youth with disabilities and special needs as they meet and overcome obstacles that would otherwise prevent them from reaching their full potential.
